Shepherd met with Mallorca president Vicente Grande in Palma to discuss a deal estimated to be worth 40 million euros (£31.5 million).
The Sunday Sun claims a formal offer for a 93 per cent shareholding in the Balearic club is imminent, with a deal possibly agreed within the next 10 days.
