Shearer Starting To Make Enemies?

These days, since the BBC told him to be more outspoken for his job as a TV pundit, he takes some shutting up!

His comments yesterday about his old team-mate Craig Bellamy have not gone down too well in the Welsh camp, where Bellamy is regarded as the "the new Ian Rush".

Former Wales striker Iwan Roberts says Shearer was wrong to say Newcastle should stay well clear of the Liverpool striker.

Roberts: "It's a bit of a shock that he (Shearer) has come out in the papers and hammered Craig. When Craig was in the Newcastle side they were a much, much better team.

"They (Shearer and Bellamy) have had their differences in the past, incidents have happened. Obviously Shearer still feels very bitter about that, but it's not like him to criticise somebody in public.

"It is a hammering to come out with a statement like that, that he had to go out and get drunk when he heard Newcastle could be coming back in for Craig."
