Shearer Out Of Chelsea Clash

Alan Shearer will not be risked in this weekend's Premiership clash with Chelsea as he continues his recovery from injury. There had been hopes that the veteran former England international would have recovered from a hernia operation in time to face Jose Mourinho's side, but manager Graeme Souness is taking a cautious line with all his injured stars.
Stephen Carr and Albert Luque will also not make the trip to Stamford Bridge, but it is hoped they will all be back for the game against Everton on November 26. "We won't have Al or Stephen available for Chelsea, although I'm hopeful they may be back for the following week at Everton," Souness told the club's official website. It's the same with Luque. He's nearly ready to come back."
