Shearer out for two weeks with fractured nose

Shearer clashed with ex-Newcastle star Rob Lee, and both players came off badly.

Lee was left needing five stitches to the head, while Shearer was left with a fractured nose, and wasn't able to continue in the match.

It is believed that Shearer will be out for up to two weeks, and will miss the clashes against Charlton, Blackburn and perhaps West Ham.

It is thought that he will be back for the last game of the season at Southampton, where he will be hoping to achieve the coveted land mark of 200 Premiership goals.

However, Bobby Robson has today announced that Craig Bellamy is ready to fill Shearer's shoes against Charlton next week. He will partner Carl Cort up front.
