Although Graeme Souness said he didn't hear the jeers at the final whistle on Saturday ... his Number Nine did!

Shearer says he can understands the fans' frustration, but is hopeful the players can turn things around in the near future.
"I can understand their frustration as everyone feels it," said the Magpies skipper. "We lacked guile and quality but no one can fault the effort. Hopefully, we will turn the corner.
"We're well aware we have two very difficult games coming up (against Bolton and Manchester United) and I don't know if there is any chance of getting anyone in, but we are thin on the ground and it does not take a genius to work that out.
"I know it, the players know it and so do the manager, chairman and the fans. The manager will be under pressure, but so will the chairman and the players because of a lack of results. It's as simple as that. We know they are working to bring people in and we hope they can do that. Results will determine everything and one point is not enough."
