Runners-up in nothing contest

The competition is based on yellow and red cards received, respect towards opponents and officials, behaviour of club officials, and positive play, and the results seem to indicate that the fairest teams are the most successful with Manchester United coming out on top.

Fair play league top five:

  1. Manchester United
  2. Newcastle United
  3. Liverpool
  4. Chelsea
  5. Manchester City

With the top four already in Europe next season Manchester City look likely to gain a place in the UEFA Cup through their fifth place finish.

With Roy Keane at Manchester United, Craig Bellamy playing for us and respect for officials one of the judging criteria, one question springs to mind.

Does each team have a joker whose behaviour doesn’t count?
