Well, our dear old former manager ... Sam Allardyce insists he is not feeling under any pressure having taken Blackburn on a horror run recently.

Allardyce's side have not won in eight games in all competitions since beating Chelsea in the last eight of the Carling Cup on penalties, and are battling against his OLD side (Bolton) to fight off relegation.

It's a very interesting situation, that could see Newcastle pass him on the way UP to the Premiership ... as he heads down to the Championship.

A 4-1 defeat at Manchester City in the Barclays Premier League was hardly the result Blackburn wanted going in the Cup clash.

But Allardyce was in bullish mood ahead of the match against Martin O'Neill's side despite a newspaper report on Wednesday morning claiming he has just two games to save his job.

Sam Allardyce: "You are always going to get rumours in the the Premier League. Never a day goes by without a positive or a negative story.

"You are bound to get some negative scenarios going around when you have not won in a while.

"You just get on with your job and that is what I will do. I have no great concerns at all."
