Wolves and West Ham are both holding talks with the agent of Salomon Rondon according to journalist Mark Douglas as reported by This Is Futbol.
The West Brom striker had a hugely impressive season in the Premier League on loan at Newcastle United and he is now a man in demand with a host of other top flight clubs.
The Venezuelan international’s future is currently up in the air with West Brom looking to offload him in order to raise funds to invest in other areas of their squad in preparation for next season’s promotion challenge.
With a £16.5million clause in his contract, which is a bargain in today’s market, there is bound to be clubs fluctuating.
The 29 year old is still wanted by Newcastle and they wish for him to remain on Tyneside but with the future of the club’s ownership not yet sorted and Mike Ashley’s reluctance to purchase players who are close to 30, there are plenty of other Premier League Clubs monitoring his situation.
He scored 11 goals in the top flight last season and was also voted their Player of the Season and quickly became a popular figure with the North East club.
Although Rondon has stated that he enjoyed his time at Newcastle and it seems this would be his preferred option as his family have become settled there, Wolves can offer European football in the form of the Europa League qualifiers and West Ham are looking to make some new acquisitions this summer and could also be seen as a lucrative option.
With the striker in demand this summer, Newcastle will have to act fast if they do wish to bring him back.
