Roeder Says "Goodbye" To "Fat Boy"

United were so flabbagasted at the newspapers they did not even bother to deny reports that they were involved in a loan deal which would see Ronaldo come to St James' Park with a £90,000-a-week pay packet.

Roeder: "signings like Ronaldo belong to the old Newcastle United - remember Patrick Kluivert?".

Yet be received an amazing e-mail this week from a guy suggesting our headline saying Ronaldo was NOT coming to Newcastle, was "trying to attract hits to the website". Now that Roeder has confirmed the Brazilian is staying where he is, perhaps this guy will give us credit for rubbishing the article in the Times, Mirror and Sun.
