Roeder Could Teach Pardew A Lesson Or Two

... he upset the new chairman ... and in this day and age, that is a sure way to get the chop.

The decision was taken on Monday morning by Hammers new chairman Eggert Magnusson and the media say it was because of the poor display at the Reebok when Bolton hammered the Hammers 4-0. But Magnusson was livid when Pardew said the new take-over was "upsetting the players".

The weeks prior to Magnusson's arrival Pardew put the blame on poor form down to "speculation" of a new board, and the man asked for a decision to be made "immediately". Since then he has passed the buck everywhere from Brazil (where he signed two Argentinian players who have been a flop) to Iceland (where Magnusson made his approach).

But finally, he has been sussed out. The West Ham fans have never taken to him, although they did take a "time-out" when they got to the FA Cup final. But the golden rule is ... cross the chairman at your peril!

Ex-West Ham boss Glenn Roeder has had more than his fill of chairman involvement. Freddy Shepherd sacked Roeder's right-hand man Kevin Bond, and didn't even have the decency to TELL Roeder.

Shepherd made a balls of transfer activity during the summer transfer market. Roeder picked his targets in June, Shepherd decided to act on the last day of transfers, waiting until there were only hours left. It backfired ... big time.

But did Roeder go public? He knows his place.
