Robert as annoyed as we are

Better times for Robert
The temperamental Frenchman told the Journal: "I was scoring goals regularly in pre-season, but then I injured my back and was out of the side when the season started properly. It was difficult for me to come and find my rhythm and I've not been scoring as freely as I was last season.

"I scored a lot of goals at Paris Saint Germain and I got some important ones last season for Newcastle. It hasn't been happening for me this year and it is annoying. I try not to let it get to me, but of course I'd like to be scoring more, every player wants to score and I'm no different.

"I do not always get as much of the ball as I would like. We play a lot down the right and not so much down the left, but I've got to learn to be more involved the whole time. I had a poor game against Barcelona and I want to put that right.

"I will keep going forward and I will keep shooting. Eventually they will start going in again."

I can’t believe Robert is as annoyed with his performances as most of the fans are, but if he can regain his form of last year then he will be a valuable asset in the push for a Champions League place.
