The band has been rehearsing at the 5under1and stadium this week and Williams has not been very popular with the locals, showing his Toon colours.

A Port Vale fan at heart, the singer is obviously enjoying upsetting the great 'Unwashed' in their own back yard.

If you are going to the Take That concert ... here is all the information you need ....

This Friday, concert-goers are being advised to plan their journeys now to make their trips to and from the city as quick and convenient as possible.

Almost a quarter of a million music fans will descend on Wearside over the course of the weekend for the band’s first shows since the return of Robbie Williams. The opening performance kicks off Friday, ahead of shows on Saturday, Monday and Tuesday.

Peak travel times on concert days are anticipated to be between 4pm to 7pm and from 11pm onwards.

Millennium Way – which surrounds the Stadium of Light – Stadium Way, and the entire Sheepfolds Industrial Estate to the south of the arena, will be subject to tight traffic restrictions on concert days, with roads completely closed to the public and non-emergency vehicles.

For motorists there is no public parking available on the stadium complex, with parking immediately around the Stadium of Light also extremely restricted.

Sunderland Enterprise Park is the city’s main park-and-walk facility for the event, with access to the Stadium of Light taking 20 to 30 minutes.

Nexus, which operates the Tyne and Wear Metro, and local bus operators have laid on extra services for the concerts, with the last Metro service leaving the Stadium of Light station at 00:47 (to Sunderland) and 1am (to South Gosforth) and St Peters station at 00:48 (to Sunderland) and 00:58 (to South Gosforth).

At 5pm stadium doors open for all tickets. The show, with Pet Shop Boys as support, is due to end at approximately 11pm.

Sports Journalist Richie Everson: "At last a book that the fabulous Newcastle United fans can relate to. It's informative, all the facts and figures are there, plus the 120 match reports from all the fixtures ... but it is the articles by the supporters that amazed me.

"I went to many of those games, and this is the only book I can honestly say 'hits the nail on the head'!

"Yes we know the results and the scorers, but some of the facts in this book had me so wrapped up in it I couldn't put it down.

"Was Benny Arentoft cup-tied when he played in the final? Big Wyn and his battle with John McGrath; McFaul scoring a penalty when the crowd had gone home; the trouble in Palermo; it is all amazing stuff.

"I would honestly give this book 10 out of 10."
