Reserves Suffer Another Defeat

Tommy Craig's Reserve side went down 2-0 at Birmingham City last night, due to goals from Andrew Barrowman and Neil Kilkenny .
It was no surprise when Birmingham took the lead on 17 minutes with Dunn setting up Barrowman to fire past Tim Krul from inside the box.
The Blues made it 2-0 just before Craig Moore pulled up and was replaced, with Kilkenny given the time and space to stride forward before unleashing a long-range drive past Krul.
Michael Chopra struck the post in the second half as the Magpies continued to push forward in search of a way back into the game and Daryl Smylie flashed a header wide from 10 yards when Walton swung the ball in.
The lively Chopra saw an effort chalked off by an offside flag, before firing in a low drive after a corner that Kilkenny blocked in a crowded goalmouth.
Vaesen had to be quick off his line to get to a through ball from Chopra intended for Smylie in the closing stages, then near the end Kuqi blazed over from 10 yards when he should have made it 3-0.
