QPR dropped into the Championship at the end of last season and I'm sure Taylor has other plans rather than drop down a Division.
QPR tried to tempt Newcastle into a deal for Taylor by offering striker Loic Remy in a swap move but Taylor showed no interest in heading south.
Taylor would have joined a number of former Newcastle teammates, with both Danny Simpson and Joey Barton contracted to the R’s.
Simpson has just moved to the club after his Newcastle contract expired while Barton spent last season on loan with Ligue 1 side Marseille.
