Alan Shearer has a broken hand, Jermaine Jenas dislocated a finger and more seriously Laurent Robert suffered suspected medial ligament damage.
Jenas should be fit to face Fulham, while Shearer has already said that he wants to carry on playing - although it will have to wear a protective dressing on the injury.
But Robert’s season will be over should the initial diagnosis prove to be correct, which could prove to be damaging to our hopes of finishing third as Hugo Viana was withdrawn on Saturday after looking decidedly unfit.
