Red Card Was Never Going To Be Overturned!

We reported on Monday that Chris Hughton was wasting his time making an appeal, becayse video footage clearly showed Zurab Khizanishvili grabbing Doncaster's Billy Sharp by the throat ... helped by Nicky Butt getting the Rovers player in a head-lock.

It clearly states on page 3 of the 'Football Book Of Rules': "If a player kicks another player in the goolies; pokes another player in the eye with a sharp stick ... or GRABS ANOTHER PLAYER BY THE THROAT ... he shall be given a red card; banned for three games; and banished to Hell for all damnation."

So don't say we didn't warn you!

Khizanishvili will miss Newcastle's games against Sheffield United,  Peterborough United and Preston North End.
