And as long as the team stay perched at the top of the Championship the grumblings will be kept to a minimum to save causing unrest to the team.

But Ashley insists he will only remain at the club until the summer, when he hopes the promotion to the Premier League will secure an increased sum for the club.

Whether or not Ashley will be able to secure the price he wants for the club remain to be seen.

But getting back to the Premiership will obviously count in his favour and add a tidy figure to the asking price.

The Supporters Trust still hope to raise the dosh to buy out the club, but they are nowhere near the asking price ... and that price is sure to rise in the summer.

Ashley and managing director Derek Llambias flew to the States at the start of the week, but Hughton has been promised money to spend in the transfer window.

The purpose of Ashley and Llambias’ trip to the world’s gaming capital is unknown, although Llambias once managed a gambling club in Vegas ... which is where the pair are at this moment.
