Former Lancashire footballer Ray Charnley, who played for Preston North End, Blackpool, Morecambe and Wrexham, has died aged 74.

The Lancaster-born ex-England forward rose to prominence in the 1950s and 60s, scoring 222 goals in 407 games for Blackpool before signing for Preston.
