Pressure On Clarky To Produce?

The 3-0 home defeat against Liverpool this week was bad enough, but it was alarming that the Reds could have won by double that score.

Now Clark takes his side to Chesterfield's Saltergate to play Sheffield United, who were another side to win at Kingston Park this season.

Under Tommy Craig, the Reserves went the whole of last season unbeaten at Kingston Park.

Clark: "I have told the players I want a reaction. I'm not against the idea of fielding a team full of schoolboys if they will produce a better performance for the Newcastle United badge.

"If that makes certain of a committed performance for the club then I will do it.

"I've got to say the final part of the performance against Liverpool was not a representation of Newcastle.

"The players were left knowing the last 20 minutes were unacceptable."

NEXT HOME GAME: April 9 against Manchester United at Kingston Park, 7pm.
