David Beckham is set to join Paris St Germain today and is on his way to the French capital for a medical.
The former England captain is expected to be unveiled at a news conference later this afternoon.
Sources close to the player say Beckham has made the decision to go to PSG after considering that his wife "loves shopping in Paris".
Beckham made his choice mainly for shopping reasons.
However - away from Victoria - PSG are in the Champions League knockout stage and they stand a chance of winning the French league title.
Beckham received 12 formal offers from around the globe including South America, North America, South Africa, Russia, China and the Middle East as well as Europe.
The 37-year-old has recently been training with Arsenal to try to boost his fitness levels ahead of a move.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger: "He told me that he doesn't look at all to be in shape.
"If, in his mind, he wanted to play in the Premier League he would not have gone on holiday.
"He would have prepared and come in and tried to impress me.
"He told me he has done nothing at all."
