'Peace In Our Time' Keegan Smacks Of Chamberlain!

But suddenly the shit has hit the fan and many are still not convinced by his "Peace in Our Time" comments yesterday as he "survived" the crunch meeting with Ashley.

Keegan was sat at the not-so-round-table, with Dennis Wise looking very much like Judas at the last supper ... and KK is starting to feel alone and vulnerable.

Ashley wants success, and I think we all know that, but at what price?

He is a business man ... NOT a football man. He was supporting Tottenham this time last year, and his loyalty will be put to the test this summer.

You only have to look at Chelsea and see how their owner has suddenly disappeared from the stands at Stamford Bridge, despite the club on the verge of English and European history.

Keegan's thoughts are now tinged with a little more realism after four months at the helm, but if he is to bring the good times back to Tyneside he needs a board with as much passion as he has.

In the short term we can hope Ashley digs deep and provides the funds KK needs.

In the long term? Who knows? But Wise is a box of tricks I honestly believe we can do without.

Reading between the lines Keegan is not happy ... and would you blame him?
