Pardew's European Phobia Gets Even More Worrying!

Last updated : 11 November 2013 By Footy Mad - Editor

bPardew blamed the Europa League competition for Newcastle's horror season last term, but none of the facts showed that the team performed any worse after a Thursday evening game.

And he tried to say on Sunday that Spurs slipped up against the Magpies because the players were drained from their European exploits.

Yet, on the second-half performance, it looked as though NEWCASTLE were the team who had flown back from some far off trip to Siberia.

Spurs battered Tim Krul's goal, and where Pardew's logic comes from is open to depate ... but Villas-Boas saw it as utter bollox!

Andre Villas-Boas: "I don't understand what the Newcastle manager is saying? We were the better, fitter team, especially in the second half.

"Why does he say the European game made the difference?"

Pardew wants to push on for a European place in the Premier League, apparently, but then what?

He said in May: "Thank GOD we are not in Europe next season!"

What is wrong with the man.

If he is FRIGHTENED of success (which he has never experienced in his entire career as player or manager) why is he in the game?

MAGPIES IN EUROPE -

HARVEY TO PARDEW

sThe new version of "Magpies In Europe" will be launched next week.

Although NUFC are not talking to the Chronicle or Sunday Sun ... we are!

And the full story is expected to be in newspapers within the next two weeks.

The official new title is "Magpies In Europe - Harvey To Pardew" and is an up-dated version of "From Antwerp To Zurich" - which includes the 14 Europa League fixtures we played last season.

The 280-page book features match reports from the 134 European matches Newcastle United have played, starting with the memorable 4-0 win over Feyenoord in 1968 on our European debut.

Included are stats and the figures you would expect, but also each away fixture has the remarkable experiences of individuals who travelled to watch the matches.

fIntroduction by "Big Bad" John McNamee, part of the Fairs Cup winning team of 1969.

It is a fascinating history that every Newcastle United fan will enjoy.

And with a limited print-run, make sure you order a copy.
