Alan Pardew: "It will over-shadow the game and it shouldn't because we had outstanding performances, particularly Ben Arfa and Sammy Ameobi who were terrific.
"We were good all over the place and I am scratching my head at how we haven't won it.
"Their heads have come together and it's probably just enough for the referee to send them off but Johnson's reaction was the catalyst from them both getting sent off.
"He made such a drama out of it, he should be ashamed of himself.
"I'm not going to appeal it because I think there was enough there for Chris Foy to send him off."
