Pardew - A Man Or A Mouse?

Last updated : 19 June 2013 By Footy Mad - Editor

loPardew met with his new line manager, Joe Kinnear, in London yesterday to discuss the surprise development and (according to the Journal) is believed to be relatively happy with the situation despite the angry furore it has caused back on Tyneside.

Kinnear's appointment as the key decision maker on footballing matters at St James' Park has sparked a fury from the club's fans who question the reasoning behind the decision.

But after Newcastle finally confirmed Kinnear's claims yesterday that he had signed a three-year deal, the club's new director of football had his first meeting with Pardew at lunch-time.

The Newcastle manager will now head off on holiday and leave Kinnear to begin his job, before the squad returns to pre-season training on July 4.

After the discussions with the 66-year-old, Pardew is thought to have emerged from the meeting with an open-mind and relatively relaxed, although every Toon fan back on Tyneside is up in arms.

Interestingly there was no comment from Pardew when Newcastle officially confirmed Kinnear's return to the Premier League club, four years after he left his post as manager through ill-health.

Pardew knows, as we all do, that Mike Ashley is trying to push him out of the club ... without paying up his contract.

He used the same tactics with Kevin Keegan when he brought in Dennis Wise. Keegan walked ... as any hot-blooded male would ... but Pardew is a different animal.

Will he sit and take the shit the way he has during the last league campaign - or tell Ashley to "push his job"?

Personally I cannot wait to see the back of Pardew, I believe we can do far better.

But imagine the scenes if Kinnear took over again!!!

He ran the show at St James' Park for 26 games back in 2008 - and won FIVE!
