Owen: "We Can Break The Top Three"

It's a long and winding road from second from bottom to breaking the stranglehold of the Premiership's big three, but Michael Owen came out with all guns blazing when he spoke to the Sunday Sun.
"The gap between Chelsea, Manchester United or Arsenal won't be bridged overnight but it is bridgeable. The Premiership just gets stronger and stronger, and whoever improves quickest will achieve that goal. But it can be us.
"The plan is to get into Europe. We've played four games and are nearer the bottom than the top. We have to change that quite quickly. But I have no doubt the team is good enough to get into Europe this season, if not push on to the top four. I'm very positive we will get into Europe, be it through the league or cup, or both.
"Having been in Spain, I've seen Albert Luque in action for Deportivo. He scored a great goal against Madrid at our place last season and we lost 1-0. It was a great finish, the type that I like to use. He chipped it over the keeper when he came out at his feet. He was a thorn in our side.
"I suspect a little edge of fitness is still to come from him but certainly he has huge ability."
