Owen The Worst Toon Skipper Ever?

An interesting read - allegedly - telling Premiership managers why they should consider him in the transfer window.

But what it doesn't include is the view of the Newcastle fans that had to endure his pathetic half-hearted efforts in the last weeks of the season.

Nicky Butt said he was disgusted at the attitude of "top players" who were not interested if the club stayed up or went down.

What did Owen have to lose? He was leaving the club anyway.

I cannot EVER remember seeing a player - wearing to Newcastle captain's armband - look so disinterested.

Owen was/is a disgrace.

Jose Mourinho said it all last summer when he was asked about Owen's availability: "I don't think he is the player he was, I'm not interested."

Owen's strength was his pace, but he lost that four years ago when he came back injured from international duty.

Alan Shearer suffered a similar injury but changed his game to become a target man, holding off defenders.

Owen hasn't the strength, the height or the passion to be a punch bag.

Who will take him?

WHO CARES!!!
