Owen: "I'm Always Under Pressure - What's New?"

Owen: "Is there more pressure on me to score if Wayne's injured? It's one thing being able to handle it and the other thing is enjoying it, and it doesn't really affect the way I play. I know I can handle pressure.

"If anyone plays for England, plays for them on a regular basis and plays either for or against the top Premiership teams like Chelsea and Manchester United, you've got to be able to handle pressure. It just comes with life really. It washes over me. I can stay focused no matter what people say or people write, or whatever else.

"If you stopped to think about it, there are obviously going to be millions of people watching us back home and it's going to be built up into a big frenzy as well, so there's going to be masses of pressure in that sense.

"But I don't go to sleep thinking about the pressure, I go to sleep thinking about that little rectangle what I've got to smack the ball into and that's about it.

"When you look around, you've got to have more than one or two match winners, so to speak. We've got Wayne (Rooney), Frank Lampard, Stevie Gerrard, David (Beckham), Joe Cole - people that can just turn a match with one bit of magic or a great goal.

"You look around the squad and you do see many different ways that goals can come."
