Owen For Villa Or Wigan?

News this weekend was that Martin O'Neill wants him at Villa Park, and he has refused to rule out a summer swoop for the Newcastle striker.

The Aston Villa boss has already snapped up the 29-year-old's former Liverpool strike partner Emile Heskey from Wigan for £3.5million.

O'Neill: "I'm not saying that I will move for Owen in the summer - I've not looked at anything at that remote a distance.

"But that's not to say Michael Owen is not a terrific player. Anything is possible. Kaka is a possibility!

"We want to try to compete at this level but what's happening in the future? I have no idea."

The England international will be a free agent at the end of the season and Wigan - having lost Heskey - could be set with an offer of £2m.
