Our Sympathy Goes To Sunderland Fan's Family!

Alan Thompson, a life-long Sunderland supporter, collapsed and died of a suspected heart attack, moments before kick-off.

The 60-year-old fan was from Catchgate, near Stanley, County Durham.

Dad-of-three Alan, had suffered heart problems before, and had bypass
surgery in 1999.

We send our deepest sympathy to his family.
