It is Sunderland v Newcastle on Tuesday night.

The bizarre derby match seeing the Sunderland first team taking on an NUFC Under 21 side in the Checkatrade Trophy.

In order to help get the 2,800 who have got tickets to the game as efficiently, and with as little disruption, as possible. Nexus have laid on extra dedicated Metro services on Tuesday night.

Two Metros will leave at 6.22pm and 6.51pm, travelling direct from Central Station to St Peter’s.

Nexus announcement:

‘Two dedicated Metro services will travel directly from Central Station to St Peter’s.

They will be leaving at 6.22pm and 6.51pm.

There is also a Northern Rail train service which leaves Newcastle at 6.48pm.

Those travelling by Metro or train MUST enter Central Station by the Neville Street entrance, near to the long stay car park and Centurion bar.

Supporters cannot enter by the main front entrance.

A barrier queueing system will be in operation.’
