"I'm quite disappointed," commented the left-back, "I will probably have to think about something else soon. In December, if there is no change, I will have to think about my future.

"You have to do what you think is right. When I was about to go to West Ham, I thought it was the right thing for me. Now I will probably have to think again.
"They say they want to keep me and I want to stay, but if I don't sign before the summer, I will finish with Newcastle."
