Oh No ... Not Souness AGAIN!

Having been linked with Leicester, Norwich, Wolves, Wigan, Birmingham, Derby County, Bolton Wanderers, Northern Ireland, Southern Ireland ... and that's just in the last fortnight(!) ... he says he wants to return to Chilly Jocko Land.

And that's probably the best place for him.

Souness, 54, has been out of management since being sacked by the Magpies in February 2006, and is now in the mood to return to management.

Souness made 54 appearances for Scotland during an international career spanning 11 years.

Souness: "I would be interested in taking a national team position.

"I've not been offered either of them (Scotland or the Republic of Ireland) so I can't comment."

The Daily Record, only last week, blamed his time at Rangers for the slump in quality Scottish players. They claimed he was the first in Scotland to bring in an influx of foreign players (and they include England as foreign in those parts).

But they hold a grudge a long time up there in Jocko Land.

By the way ... don't believe a word of "Braveheart" when it claims in the film William Wallace's last words (or word in this case) was "Freedom!".

His last recorded words were: "How can you put me on trial for treason when England is foreign to me?"

So now you know.

And "Braveheart" was actually Robert the Bruce ... NOT Wallace ... which shows what a "pile" THAT film was.
