Now Here's A Shock - Bellars Opens His Gob!

The problem with Craig Bellamy is simple - like Dennis Wise - he has "Little Man Syndrome".

A little man who has a big gob ON the football field because he knows the referee is going to protect him.

But OFF the field (away from the Chelsea skipper of course) he plunged his knife straight into John Terry's back following Manchester City's shock 4-2 win at Stamford Bridge ... but you would never see him take up an invitation to "talk about it down some back alley".

No ... he does his ranting and raving in public, never face to face with his target ... always with protection.

His verbal battle with Graeme Souness was NEVER face-to-face, because we all know Mr Souness would have pushed his Welsh head up his Welsh arse!

And as for Terry ... I'm sure the Chelsea defender could put Bellamy in his place with one hand tied behind his back, wearing a blind-fold and with his feet in cement.

Aside from one confrontation with Carlos Tevez (who has a face just longing to be punched), Terry kept out of trouble on the field.

But once the dust had begun to settle on the match, Bellamy weighed in.

"I know what JT is like," he told Sky Sports. "Nothing surprises me about it. I think everybody in football knows what the guy is like, but that's off the field.

"On it he's an outstanding player. He's a great captain for Chelsea."
