"I signed because of the potential we've got in the dressing room. The lads are confident we can go in the right direction.
"I'll try to learn a few things from Michael Owen about his prowess in the box. He was a lot older than me when I was at Liverpool. He was also playing a few years above himself, but you always heard about him.
"He really came through when I was at Bolton. He was fantastic at the World Cup.
"I'd met him a couple of times before I came here, and it'll be nice to get to know him as a player and see what makes him tick."
