Nobby Still Nuts About The Toon

Nobby set up his own Salsa band – The Geordie Latinos – in his days at  St James’ Park and Sir Bobby Robson once laughed: "He's a lovely guy, but I can do without him phoning me at 6 in the morming blowing a trumpet!"

The Peruvian took to the field to be greeted by BOTH sets of supporters, and he said: "The Geordies have always been great to me.

"I love Newcastle, I always will. They are lovely people".

But it was Leicester who have offered him a chance of a Premier League swansong ... not Newcastle ... even though he spent a time training with Chris Hughton's side.

Solano has returned from Peruvian football at the age of 35 to add a touch of class to Leicester’s promotion drive and, if he can help them into the big time, he may be playing the Foxhunters horn and belting out the Post Horn Gallop.

Leicester always run out to the traditional sound and Solano said: “If we get promoted I will have a chance to play it. That would be great.”
