Nobby staying put

Restored to the starting line-up against Inter Nobby seems to have calmed down after his angry reaction to being left out of the team to face Feyenoord.

"I was a little bit disappointed not to start the last few games but this happens sometimes," Nobby told the Sunday Sun.

"Against Inter I had a point to prove after three games out of the starting line-up. I spoke to the manager and he explained that with so many games and so many players he had to rotate the squad.

"I have to accept that situation and now I'm back in the first team I have to give my best to stay there. I love it here and I never said I wanted to leave. I'm very happy here, happy to stay.

"It's a brilliant club and it is not my decision to leave."
