Goodison trip postponed
Newcastle United have this evening confirmed that their Premier League game against Everton at Goodison Park which was scheduled to take place this coming Thursday evening has been postponed.
Magpies manager Eddie Howe revealed after Monday’s game against Manchester United that his squad was becoming increasingly depleted due to positive Covid tests and injuries. As a consequence of this, Newcastle made a formal request to the Premier League for the postponement of their fixture at Goodison Park on 30th December and that request has now been granted.
Newcastle United’s statement on the issue thanked Everton for their understanding, the fixture will now be rearranged with a date to be confirmed.
