Newcastle predicted lineup vs Liverpool - Premier League

Newcastle are looking to register their fifth win on the spin when Liverpool come to town in the Premier League on Saturday lunchtime.

The Magpies have bulldozed their way up the table in recent months and head into this encounter as a top-half side for the first time since October 2020.

Eddie Howe's men face a Reds side who know a win will take them top for a few hours at least. Here's who he could select to stop that from happening.

1. Newcastle predicted lineup vs Liverpool (4-3-3)

Martin Dubravka (GK) - Probably hasn't enjoyed seeing how many goalkeepers Newcastle have been linked to in recent months but the starter's job is his for the time being.

Emil Krafth (RB) - Has played every minute since early April's 5-1 thrashing by Tottenham. Maybe he was the glue holding everything together all along.

Fabian Schar (CB) - Signed a new two-year contract on Friday after an impressive season.

Dan Burn (CB) - Formed a formidable partnership at the back alongside the Swiss following his January move from Brighton.

Matt Targett (LB) - Has hardly put a foot wrong since his loan and Newcastle would like to make his move from Aston Villa permanent.

Jonjo Shelvey (CM) - Recently claimed that Newcastle will become as big as the likes of Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain. Wonder if he'll still be hanging around by the time that happens.

Bruno Guimaraes (CM) - Finally coming into his own at St James' Park and has already scored four goals in 13 Premier League games.

Joelinton (CM) - Hobbled off against Norwich but should be fit to return here.

Jacob Murphy (RW) - Has been used all over the place this season but his work-rate should see him get the nod on the wing here.

Chris Wood (CF) - Just two goals in 14 appearances since his transfer from Burnley.

Allan Saint-Maximin (LW) - Home fans will be hoping to see the Frenchman at his brilliant best rather than his frustrating worst with such a big show in town.
