Newcastle - Who Wants To Make Up The Numbers?

David Ginola: "What they need now is some stability for the first time in a long time.

"I don't want to see a change in manager, just some continuity.

"Chris is right not to bring in any player because of their name, he's got to get the right type of player at the club at this time.

"This is my opinion on how they can start to rise back to where they belong, and it's by signing the right players.

"There is the old saying that Rome wasn't built in a day, and for now they have to forget they aren't going to be a top-four team.

"Even Manchester City have spent big – but only got fifth.

"They (Newcastle) need to take time, spend money wisely, and not rush into things. Patience is the word.

"To get up at the first attempt was very important for them.

"If you don't do that and you have more than year away from the Premier League, it's hard. Stress kicks in and you lose confidence.

"Now they are back where they belong and if there is a team and a set of fans that deserve a Premier League team, it's got to be Newcastle.

"It was a big, big disappointment what happened in the season when Newcastle went down, and such a bad experience.

"But it could end up having been a good experience if it is a lesson about what happens if you don't invest properly.

"Newcastle don't belong in the Championship - it's as simple as that.

"I hope that they aren't coming back up to have to scrap against that again."

In my opinion - BOLLOX!

We won promotion with Kevin Keegan and frightened the shit out of the Premiership our first season back in the top flight ... and qualified for Europe!

Who wants to make up the numbers ... we want to see a team make us PROUD!

Ginola? He couldn't wait to get away from St James' Park ... and told a pack of lies to get his move.

"I want to go back to France, I am homesick".

Where did he end up? TOTTENHAM!
