Hot on the heels of reports we’ve had Cardiff City centre back Danny Gabbidon watched comes a claim that Ipswich Town full back Matt Richards is interesting Sir Bobby.
The 18-year-old is a product of the prolific Portman Road academy and has become a first-team regular in recent times.
Obviously no report about Ipswich would be complete without mention of us being interested in striker Darren Bent, but the Richards story could have more credence as they were apparently prepared to sell him to Southampton during the summer.
Can’t recall having seen him play though, so I can’t really pass much comment on this one.
Meanwhile the Evening Chronicle claims that the Sir Bobby has turned down a bid to take Steve Caldwell on loan.
