No details have emerged about the incident but Sky Sports News claimed that Police are investigating claims of "verbal and racial abuse".
The Police themselves refused to confirm that Bellamy had been involved in the incident, merely stating: "Enquiries are on-going into an incident."
But the striker didn’t train with the Wales squad this morning, prompting manager Mark Hughes to say: "There has been an incident, but no, he has not been sent home. He didn't train on Monday but I hope he will be fit for the weekend."
Most of these incidents turn out to be someone trying to make a few quid out of the papers at a players expense and lets hope that is the case here and not another example of Bellamy’s mouth causing him problems.
