Moore Welcomed Back

Craig Moore had a nightmare trip Down Under last week as he attempted to link up with the Australian national side. He missed his flight from Sydney to Brisbane, allegedly because he had been drinking and "went into a coma".

That cost him a one-match suspension for a game against Paraguay in which Moore was supposed to be captain. But it is all water under the bridge as Glenn Roeder says he will have no problems playing him on Saturday against Bolton Wanderers.

Roeder: "It's not a club issue, so from my point of view I am glad he returned home early. It means he should be OK for Bolton. We have a packed fixture list coming up over the next three months and we are probably going to be playing 20 or so games.

"So I am not going to be unhappy that he is coming home early. I'm happy to have Craig here. His performances have been generally consistent, which you need at this level.

"You know what you are going to get from him, but don't forget he is a very experienced player. He has always impressed me."
