Milner: 'We Should Be Like Everton'!

As if we need reminding, the Magpies have failed to win any of their last 10 Premier League games and now sit just six points above the drop zone.

That in itself has the England Under-21 winger concerned, and team-mates Alan Smith and Mark Viduka were also part of a Leeds side which unexpectedly succumbed to the drop back in 2004.

Milner: "It's like at Leeds when people said we were too good to go down.

"But we have to be realistic, we are in a bit of a battle and we want to get out of it. Hopefully it won't come down to that though.

"We have to have a bit of time with one manager and build up something. It won't happen overnight.

"David Moyes went to Everton and they have done very well.

"But don't forget that they nearly got relegated one year. He had time to build and everybody kept faith.

"We have quality players here, but we need a bigger squad. But I want to stay and build for the future."
