Tyneside is in turmoil; there is talk of the club going into adminstration; players considering a revolt; Alan Shearer returning to MOTD; mugs in the city wearing 'custard & mustard' shirts ... AND STILL MIKE ASHLEY SAYS NOWT!

NUFC

Mike Ashley has been at Newcastle two years - the most turbulent times in living memory (for Toon fans) - and the closest we have had to an address to the masses was that statement about how passionate he was following England in the World Cup!

Perhaps THAT has been his problem. A man who hides under the bed when the shit hits the fan.

Blocks his ears and goes into hiding, pretending "tomorrow is another day and the fairies will put everything right".

We've had enough 'fairies' at St James' Park -  Fereday, Maric, Marcelino, Luque, Pistone, Viana, etc ... and none of them "put Newcastle right".

We hear today he has no intention of putting Newcastle United into administration, even though it didn't actually come from him.

No, the 'club scource' has been at it again. Nobody knows who he is, what he does at SJP, or what he looks like ... but he can always be found in times of trouble.

A source close to the deal said: “There’s absolutely no chance of Mike putting the club into administration, that has never been considered as an option and we don’t know where this (suggestion) has come from.

“Seymour Pierce are continuing to work on the sale and we are still talking to people. Everything is on-going and we certainly haven’t given up on finding a suitable buyer.”
