Martins Told "Get Out Of Toon!"

30 minutes for Newcastle in six months, then he flies back from Germany in a worse state than when he went out!

But when you get an international coach telling his players to leave the club they play for ... THAT is off the map!

It happened to West Ham when the Argentina coach told new signings Javier Mascherano and Carlos Tevez to get away from Upton Park. And it has happened at Newcastle ... the head of the Nigerian Football Association has urged Obafemi Martins to quit Tyneside.

Although the player arrived at St James' Park with a massive price tag and big reputation, Martins was not a first team regular at Inter Milan and has struggled to justify the £10 million paid for him.

It is mid-November and he has only scored one league goal and Nigerian FA chief Waidi Akanni has urged the 22-year-old to join a big club. Perhaps if the player would get off his sick bed and bang in a few goals we wouldn't be in the mess we are in.

Akanni: "He should have moved to a winning team, not a struggling side like Newcastle. If something is not done urgently, his career may suffer."
