The Nigerian international has not been in action since the 3-0 win at Portsmouth in December and went under the knife for surgery on that troublesome hernia in January.

Hughton: "Oba has gone through a period of training.


"He has had the benefit of not playing last week, so that will put him in good stead. He is fit and available.

"Peter Lovenkrands has done very well from day one.

"We took him in and he did well in training.

"It was very much on a trial basis and you expected him to give his all, which he has.

"We are better equipped (than some of the relegation-threatened sides) and confidence is higher now.

"If you ask me if I would rather have tough decisions or a team that picks itself, I would take the tough decisions every time."
