Antonio Valencia: “The first game of the Premier League season is never easy.
“Newcastle may have just arrived from the Championship, but they’re a club with great history and will come to Old Trafford to create problems for us.
“I look at Newcastle this summer and they possess an interesting squad. (Fabricio) Coloccini and Jonas (Gutierrez) are two of the best players in South America, (Joey) Barton is strong in midfield and they have experience in (Steve) Harper, (Kevin) Nolan, (Alan) Smith and Sol Campbell.
“I really can’t see Newcastle having too many problems in terms of their position in the table.”
