Mackems in deep trouble

McBride scores the winner

After the shock of Kevin Kilbane scoring before the break, the American’s goals handed Everton a win that even their own manager thought was fortunate.

But with Bolton, Birmingham and West Brom all getting points from difficult away trips it is looking more and more likely that the Mackems will be playing Grimsby, Wolves and Burnley next season, and in the words of Craig Bellamy ‘The Premiership is what its all about’.

But Wilko is obviously trying to cheer up the 14,500 faithful with these inspiring words: "I am saying we won't be relegated.

"Then, inside 12 months I hope we can be a team like Everton or Southampton."

With an ambitious manager like that you can understand why the players are so uninspired!
