Luque Blames The City For His Failure On Tyneside!

Luque, of course, failed to add that during his three years between 2005 and 2007, he failed to impose himself despite his reputation.

And, like his fellow Spanish international Marcelino, went through the Medical Book searching for ailments to miss games.

Luque, kicked out of Ajax (for similar reasons he left Newcastle), is playing for Malaga.

But he has kindly told us what Newcastle United need to do to become a success.

Luque: "Newcastle are a club that offer you everything. They have plenty of money and always want to sign new players.

"New players constantly arrive, eight to nine each year, and the coach changes every three months each year. It is very unstable.

"Succeeding at this club is very difficult. If they were well organised, they would be a great English team. Living there day by day is not easy.

"It is a very different city, but during my years there I tried to settle into the team and into the city and as it proved impossible I decided to move to Ajax."
