Parker: "I don't really know where all this transfer talk has come from. I am very happy here at St James' Park. My family have all moved up here and I am more than happy at Newcastle.

Glenn Roeder confirmed that West Ham are wasting their time, even if they offer Anton Ferdinand, who Roeder is said to be interested in.

Roeder: "I have not made Scott my captain to sell him. In fact, I expect him to be captain of Newcastle for many years to come."
